Meet Our Team
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
Hey there! I'm so glad you're interested in joining us here at WCP. My name is Mrs. Therrian and I have been with WCP since my eldest son began preschool in 2017. I have been teaching for over 10 years and have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with certifications in Integrated Science and Reading. I am also the proud mom of 2 Wacousta Elementary students who are also WCP Alumni! As Director at WCP it is my mission to create an inclusive learning environment in which all students, educators, and families feel loved, valued, included, and welcome. I love that WCP provides me the opportunity to uplift my community within our school walls, but also by affecting change through community engagement. WCP is a beautiful place to be!

Welcome to preschool! My name is Emily Schafer. I am so excited to be at WCP! I took a break from teaching for a few years to stay home with my children but am ready and excited to be back in the classroom! I live in St Johns with my husband and three children. I have two sons and a daughter. We do a lot of DIY home projects that take up most of our time but I also love to read, volunteer at my kids’ school and go camping with my family.

Hi! I’m Mrs. Bullock and I am so glad you’re here! We are going to have so much fun and learn many new things this year. Preschool is such a great place! I have taught children for the last 10+ years and am excited to start a new adventure at WCP this year! I live in Lansing with my husband and son. We have 2 cats, named Abby and Sophie. I enjoy reading, being outside with my family, baking, and visiting with friends. I LOVE being creative and doing crafts, too! I am from upstate New York and love going back to visit.
AM Lead Teacher
Ms. Danielle first joined WCP as a parent in 2020. We recently re-acquired her to serve as our AM Lead Teacher! Ms. Danielle has many years experience teaching children. She comes from teaching Montessori Primary Grades. She took a few years off to stay home with her children, but we're so excited she has chosen us again. Ms. Danielle loves to travel, spend time with her family, and be outside. We are so lucky to have her back with us!
Ms. Susie is in her second year with WCP! She is a Wacousta native and lives just down the road with her husband and daughter. She loves exploring the outdoors with her family, singing, reading, and cooking. She loves to try complicated recipies! We so appreciate her dedication and sense of humor. We are so happy she is with us!
Ms. Kennedy is in her second year with WCP! She is a Wacousta native and lives just down the road with her family. She is in her final year at MSU studying Special Education with a science concentration. She has been an educator in both Ghana and the US. She has also been part of a group of future educators who engage in international travel to prepare them to be open-minded, community-engaged, and globally oriented leaders in and beyond the classroom. She is a wonderful addition to our team!
Ms. Denise is in her second year with WCP, and is so excited to be on the Wacousta Co-op team! She is a retired GLPS teacher of 30+ years and had truly missed the regular interactions with students. Her experience and expertise is so valued at our school. She and her husband have lived the Grand Ledge community for 40 years. They have two grown children that they like to visit often! She is also currently serving on the GLPS and ERESA Boards of Education. Education is her passion! We are so grateful to have her with us!
Ms. Dana is in her first year with WCP! She is a Wacousta native and lives just down the road with her family. She has many years of experience teaching children, including Montessori, preschool, special education, and nannying. Ms. Dana's calm demeanor, and empathy for all people makes her a wonderful asset to our team!
Welcome to preschool, my name is Ms. Malia. I am looking forward to working as an assistant teacher at WCP! I have been working with children while in school for the past 4 years, it’s something I love! This will be my first year at WCP and I can’t wait to meet you all. I am from Portland, and recently graduated from Portland High School. My future plans are to study Occupational Therapy, eventually working my way to the pediatrics. I have a dog named Audie who was a rescue in 2019. I thoroughly enjoy traveling to new states and throughout Michigan.
