Discover a Cooperative Learning Community with Wacousta Cooperative Preschool

About Wacousta Cooperative Preschool

Our mission is to provide affordable, high-quality early childhood education in Michigan within a family-centered environment for all families. At Wacousta Cooperative Preschool, we embrace a progressive and holistic teaching philosophy, ensuring that each child’s unique needs are met. By offering a nurturing environment and essential tools, we help children thrive while fostering meaningful community connections.

Family involvement plays an integral role in early learning experiences. At WCP, we ensure our families are involved through volunteering and community. When the whole family is supported, children are free to thrive.

At WCP, we focus on the education of the whole child in an environment where they feel safe and at home. Our cooperative model creates a community for parents as well as children. At WCP, we're neighbors, friends, family; we create more than just a school, we're a community.

Wacousta Cooperative Preschool Mission

High-quality, affordable childcare with small class-sizes is nearly impossible to find. This is at the center of our philosophy. We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities for parents to build a community with one another. By building on the strengths, interests and curiosities of the whole child, we guide each to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships. By focusing on the whole child, family's find community with one another, and children create life-long friendships.
